Best Ski Toys for Kids
We’ve found so many fun ski-themed toys out there, that there’s a little something for everyone. I turned to the experts for research on this article, my own kids ages 5-15, and they shared with me what ski toys were cool, which ones were lame, and the ones that they’d only play with once. The toys for skiing we’re sharing below are only the best of the best (because they came up with TONS of ideas…and requests for toys they wanted).
Best Backyard Toy Skis For Kids
These toy skis are perfect for the backyard or for taking to the park. Most of them can even stand up to a light trail ski if you’ve got groomed trails near you. They don’t have metal edges, so they’re safer for kids to play with on their own, but that also means that they’re not suitable for the ski resort.
We love all the fun designs that these kids’ skis come in and the easy-to-buckle bindings. These would be perfect for kids from 2-5 years old. They do come with poles (though they’re not great quality), so kids will love having those to play around with as well.
These short skis would be perfect for the kid who is always wanting to take their skis down every sledding hill they see. They’re a simplified version of the old-school snowblades from the 90s, that can just strap onto boots or shoes. They work with boots or shoes up to an adult size 10, so the whole family can have fun with them.
NOTE: They’re not super stable going downhill, so we recommend wearing a helmet.
Best Ski Games To Play at Home
This unique game will be a fun challenge for the family on game night. While it’s a bit tricky to figure out at first, once you master the rules, you’ll have a blast with the unexpected card draws as you get things like whiteouts, black runs, ice patches, and more.
This strategy ski board game will quickly draw you in and make you want to play over and over again. You’ll have fun riding the lefts, controlling the slopes, and of course, spending some time relaxing! It’s recommended for ages 14+, but with a little help, we think younger kids could play and enjoy this as well. The best part is that it can be played with 2-4 players so the whole family can join in on the fun!
We have this game and the kids absolutely LOVE IT. It’s a fun ski-themed game that gets kids moving on the balance board and having fun as they race down the slopes. This is the perfect ski video game because it lets kids feel like they got game time, but they’re still being a little bit active.

We are obsessed with this Lego Friends ski lift. The design is adorable and girls will have a blast creating a functioning ski lift for all their Lego friends. Complete with a ski lift, on-mountain dining, and rental shop, there’s plenty of room for creative ski play with this set! This is the best Ski Lego set for girls!
This is a fun mi-size Lego ski set that kids will love. We love that the pieces can be moved around to creatively set up a winter vacation and add some ski fun in!
Best Playmobil Winter Sets with Skiing
This is the most complete Playmobil ski set. We love that it comes with a ski lodge, slopes, restaurant, and more. Kids will have a blast setting up this set and skiing down the slopes with their Playmobil figures.
This is the perfect addition to any winter play set from Playmobil. We love that it comes complete with car, figures, and of course ski gear including skis and a snowboard. This is such a fun ski toy set!
We think that this set would be the perfect toy for kids who love ski lessons or kids who are nervous about ski lessons and need some help role-playing to get comfortable. Kids will love the fun characters and features to ski through to make their ski lesson play even more fun!

This simple doll dress-up set has ski pants, a ski coat, and of course skis, boots, and ski poles. We love that it’s pretty basic so there aren’t too many accessories to misplace, but just the perfect amount for taking your doll skiing with you!
While there are no skis involved, we love the winter theme of this doll dress-up set. Complete with hats, mittens, a snow tube, and of course, some cute winter clothes!
Best Ski Puzzles
A ski puzzle is a great apres ski activity or the perfect thing to set up on the table on a snow day with a mug of hot cocoa and some snacks. Here are some of our favorite ski puzzles.
Our favorite puzzles ever are from Dowdle, since they do such a good job of capturing fun outdoor scenes in a classic way. We have several of them, but Park City and Vail are our favorites. We do the Park City puzzle annually to kick off the start of the new ski season (Park City is our home resort).
If you like challenging puzzles, try out this 1000-piece ski puzzle. We love the super cute and colorful design, and it’s a great way to spend an afternoon or evening indoors on a snowy day. It is alittle bit tricky because of the amount of white on the image, but it’s still so fun!
How fun is this trail map puzzle of Breckenridge? We love that it’s colorful and is such a fun way for everyone in the family to check out their favorite ski runs!
