What Area Of Park City is Best For Ski-In Ski-Out Family Accommodation?
Our family skis Park City weekly, and have quickly learned that some of the base areas are just better than others. Here are your options:
Deer Valley Ski-in Ski-out Options
Deer Valley is an upscale skier-only resort that’s packed full of ski-in ski-out lodging for families. Here you’ll find the main base area out of Park City and the Jordanelle side. The Park City accessed areas are significantly better than the Jordanelle side, so look there. This includes the Empire Canyon area, Silver Lake lodge, and lots of ski-in and ski-out cabins and homes scattered throughout the area.
Park City Mountain Resort Ski-In Ski-Out Options
Park City Mountain has two main base areas, Park City Mountain Resort, and The Canyons.
For regular hotels, the Park City base area is easier to get around and much more family-friendly than The Canyons. If you’re looking for Park City ski-in ski-out houses and cabins, look toward The Canyons and anything off of the Daybreak lift or Dreamcatcher lift will literally blow your mind. These Park City ski houses are in the middle of the ski hill on some of the least crowded terrain on the entire mountain!
Why Should You Choose Park City Ski-In Ski-Out Lodging?
Park City has experienced exponential growth in the last few years and the infrastructure has just not kept up. While the town and ski hill are lovely, parking here can be an absolute NIGHTMARE. Ski parking lots are often filled an hour to an hour and a half before the resorts even open, so even if you stay somewhere within close driving distance, you’ll have to get going insanely early just to be able to get to the ski hill and park.
Truthfully a Park City ski-in ski-out hotel is the very best option, especially if you have kids.
If you have a ski-in ski-out Park City hotel, you can just go straight to the slopes. No fighting the crowds to find a parking spot, no long trudge through town to get to the slopes, and no dealing with the mess of public transportation. Getting a ski-in ski-out Park City hotel means that your Park City ski trip will be as simple and fun-filled as possible.
